Building Better Relationships Between Dogs and Their Families
We don't just train dogs—we help families create lasting change through communication, structure, education, and continued support.
We know that behind every “troubled” dog, is a family looking for answers, support, and a better life together.
This is why our approach focuses on understanding the dog in front of us, strengthening the relationship between dog and owner, and creating clear communication built on trust and consistency.
No two dogs are the same, and no two families have the same goals. Whether you’re raising a new puppy, welcoming a rescue, or struggling with reactivity, anxiety, aggression, or other behavioral challenges, we meet you where you are and create a plan designed specifically for your situation.
Our passion is helping overwhelmed owners find hope again and helping dogs become calm, confident companions. Through personalized training, behavior modification, and ongoing support, we create real-life results that last long after training ends.
At the end of the day, our goal isn’t just a better behaved dog, it’s a stronger bond, a better understanding, and a life you can truly enjoy together through connection, confidence, and trust.
The Team Behind Your Success
Samantha Chinchilla
Sam founded Ohana K9 Behavior Solutions with a vision of creating something different.
Over the last 13+ years, she has worked in veterinary clinics, boarding facilities, training programs, and behavior-focused environments, gaining experience with dogs of all breeds, ages, and behavioral challenges.
After working in some of Utah’s most recognized boarding and training facilities, she saw an opportunity to create a more personalized approach that combines structure, enrichment, education, and individualized care.
To continue expanding her knowledge, Sam has traveled throughout the United States studying under respected trainers and behavior professionals while pursuing a degree in Psychology.
Today, she specializes in behavior modification, rehabilitation, lost dog recovery consulting, and helping owners build stronger relationships with their dogs.
Chase Thompson
Chase has played an integral role in building and operating Ohana K9 Behavior Solutions alongside Sam. As co-owner of the business, he leads many of our private lessons and works directly with clients to help them build stronger relationships with their dogs.
Known for his calm demeanor and patient approach, Chase has a natural ability to connect with both dogs and their owners. He specializes in helping owners gain confidence, improve communication, and create practical training habits that carry over into everyday life.
Committed to continuing education, Chase has traveled throughout the United States studying canine behavior, wellness, conditioning, and working dogs. His experience with canine kinesiatrics and sled dogs has strengthened his understanding of canine movement, motivation, and overall well-being.
In addition to operating Ohana K9 Behavior Solutions, Sam and Chase operate The Ohana Rottweiler Rescue, assist families throughout Utah County with lost dog recovery efforts, and coordinate interstate pet transportation services.
