Training and Boarding with that "Magic Right At Home" Feeling

Do you prefer learning side by side with your Furry Friend? Then Private Lessons are For you!

Our Private Personalized Lessons are the best option for owners who want to learn how to create their perfect companion themselves.

Our lessons are 100% personalized to you and your pup. We don’t have a cookie cutter curriculum we followed for every single dog enrolled. Your specific set of needs is much different from another client, and it is useless to roll out behaviors and an emphasis you don’t care about, or need.

Ideal Candidates For Private Lessons

  • Clients who have the necessary time to commit 3-5 active training sessions per day with their dogs
  • Clients who struggle to absorb information in large groups of people and dogs.
  • Dogs who already have a healthy relationship with their owner, but need to learn a few small behaviors.
  • Dogs who may have significant behavioral concerns, but struggle in new environments.
  • Clients who feel a financial benefit from Private Lessons over a Board and Train Program
  • Clients who are patient, and okay with having a longer timeline for results.

We offer Pay As-You-Go Pricing for our Individual Lessons, which are $65 per 45 minutes.

For clients who have a short list of behavioral concerns, or want to build a stronger reliability with existing commands, this is the optimal option, as you don’t end up paying for sessions you don’t need.

For clients who have dogs that are new to their households, or have more severe behavioral concerns, we recommend choosing from our Packages below.

Progression Based Private Consultation Package (Teenage Puppy or Adult)

Our Progression Based Private Consultation Package is the best option for our clients who want to help their dog work through severe behavioral concerns such as reactivity, aggression, crate phobias, separation anxiety, and more! We take a very relationship based approach with these sessions and work at the dogs pace. In this program, we offer unlimited session, and work with you until the dog is making better progress. Sometimes this takes 2 months, and sometimes this takes 8 months.

We do require an initial evaluation before enrolling your dog into this program to make sure it’s the right fit. Some dogs receive a higher rate of success with our Progression Based Behavior Modification Board and Train Program due to time constraints and their relationship with their human.

$1600 for residents in Utah County

$1800 for Non-Utah County Residents

Includes Unlimited Consultations from the comfort of your home, or the place of your choosing, working on a custom timeline that you and your dog dictate.

When I first got my German Shepherd, she was 6 weeks old. I went into this not knowing very much about dogs and what it takes to get them trained. I was never raised around animals and had very little experience. Ohana is very knowledgeable and so easy to work with. From the very first session with them we already had our puppy Zombie, laying down and behaving very well. From that moment on I have learned so much from them. They helped me reach a relationship with her that I never thought possible. We train every day. She enjoys every moment as do I. I cannot thank Ohana enough for all of the support and care they give each animal they come across. We're able to call or text them day or night, and they're able to make sure any questions we have are answered. I was unsure if I would be able to afford the help I needed, but they are very reasonably priced, and worth every penny.

The first things I noticed about Sam and Chase were so easy to work with, and their love for animals. They loved my dogs and they won my trust. They were full of knowledge that they shared with me step by step every single lesson we had. They made a huge task of training seem doable with the steps and the process that was laid out before me. My dogs not only responded to their training, but they learned new things that I had struggled to teach them. They helped me feel empowered as a dog owner, with two of one of the most stubborn hound breeds! I highly recommend working with Ohana!

What are the real differences between Private Lessons, and a Full Board and Train Program??? Can we make as much progress with Private Lessons?

We receive this question anytime we make a recommendation for Private Lessions OVER our Board and Train Programs. Each Program has its place, and each has its benefit!

Private Lessons

  • Better for your wallet
  • Will help you mend your relationship with your dog much quicker than a Board & Train Program will
  • For easy behavioral concerns, you *MAY* see results quicker.
  • You are learning the entire process WITH your dog. This is incredibly useful for the next dog you may have, as you have a frame of reference for teaching!
  • We come to your home, or your environment of choosing

Board and Train

  • Usually give you results quicker
  • Are great for clients who have little time or patience to teach the tedious foundations you need for more advanced behaviors.
  • The Professionals are taking all of the risks for you when you have severe behavior cases, until the dog is considered “safe”
  • We are able to get a much better feel for what your dog needs, their quirks, lifestyle, etc., as we’re living with them for weeks to months.
  • For certain dogs, it’s a nice “reset” to be able to come home and learn from scratch how to behave in their home.
  • Future Boarding for your pup is less of a “shock”, as they already have a relationship with us, and are comfortable in our care.

Ultimately, the decision whether to enroll in Private Lessons, or a Board and Train Program, is yours entirely! If we feel your household and dog are more suitable for one or the other, we will recommend it.
